Frequently asked questions
Do I need bookkeeping if my company is in a free zone?
Yes. Free-zone companies are within the UAE Corporate Tax regime and must keep proper accounting records. Qualifying Free Zone Persons also need audited financial statements to keep the 0% rate on qualifying income — that starts with clean monthly books.
How long must I keep my records?
UAE tax law generally requires records to be kept for at least five years for VAT, and seven years for Corporate Tax purposes. We keep your ledgers organised so they can be produced quickly if the FTA asks.
Which software do you use?
We work in Zoho Books, Xero and QuickBooks Online. If you don't have software yet, we'll recommend one that fits your size and set it up for you.
