Most IFZA companies are run by their owners, often with one or two staff and clients both in the UAE and abroad. You don't need an in-house accountant — you need books that are right every month. We record your income and expenses, reconcile your bank accounts and send a short monthly report.
If your IFZA company has had little activity so far, we can set up light-touch bookkeeping at a lower monthly fee and scale it as you grow.
Corporate Tax and VAT for IFZA companies
Every IFZA company must register for Corporate Tax and file an annual return. Many service businesses earn income that doesn't qualify for the free-zone 0% rate, so it's worth checking early whether 9% applies above AED 375,000 of taxable income, or whether Small Business Relief can be elected.
- Corporate Tax registration and annual return
- Qualifying income and Small Business Relief checks
- VAT registration when you pass AED 375,000
- VAT on services to overseas clients (often zero-rated)
Audit-ready accounts for IFZA renewals
IFZA asks companies to submit audited financial statements each year. With monthly bookkeeping in place, your year-end close takes days instead of weeks, and your auditor gets a clean trial balance with supporting schedules.
Frequently asked questions
Does a dormant IFZA company still need accounts?
Yes. Even with little or no activity, an IFZA company must keep accounting records, register for Corporate Tax and file a return. We offer a low-cost option for companies with very few transactions.
Do I charge VAT to clients outside the UAE?
Services supplied to clients outside the UAE are often zero-rated, but it depends on where the client is and where the service is used. We check each contract and set up your invoices correctly.
Can you work with my IFZA company if I live outside the UAE?
Yes. We work fully online, so owners can be anywhere. You share documents securely and reach your bookkeeper on WhatsApp or email.
